Photomanipulation

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 7, 2008, 12:26 PM
Hello everyone,

Photomanipulation is when you take two or more photos and combine/merge them to create a different image with them.

I am currently working as a Web Designer for a small firm in NYC. This is my dream job. It started about 6 years ago when I first heard about Adobe Photoshop. People were showing me all these amazing images that others had created using this software. My brother showed me a few tutorials and I started playing with them. I loved creating new, different things from the originals. And from there on I couldn't get enough of photoshop and tutorials and doing new things. Later on I decided to pursue a career in the Interactive Design field. I really love my job. It can be a pain at times but we all know that happens in any job. I don't mind.

So I just found out that it is apparently Photomanipulation Week here at :devart: and even though I don't really support or promote anything in this website anymore because I don't really care, I decided to promote this because it makes me think of why I got into the career I am in now. B-)

So, check it out if you are into photomanipulation. There is a contest too. It sounds like a nice challenge, not for the prizes (which are not great lol) but just for the challenge. :below:

So that's it for now. Take care everyone!

Think for yourself

Yeah well a long way to go for me hahaha. Well what I do is actually quite different but I think it's great that different styles and forms come to life based on the same musical interests. A wide variation of drawed and painted answers on that wonderful blasphemic music genre. I love it.

Thank you once again. I think you can accomplish anything if you really want to. I did that a long time ago, and I learned by practicing with tutorials online, by looking at other people's work and asking questions. Go for it! ;)

Hey! I first heard about your work browsing through myspace and i sent u a comment telling u that your work inspired me to learn about using Photoshop. Well, i kind of taught myself how to use it and i've done some stuff........not great things, but here i am and trying to learn everyday. Again.......love your work :) take care.

Nice gallery. You ever been to the Albion/Batcave on 30th street? It's gotten progressively shittier each time I visited.
