Most of you have seen this statue before in museums and other cathedrals and churches. But I thought it just looked so beautiful under this lighting, and with this background. I took several photos of it from different angles and this one is my favorite. I may not be a Christian, but I respect and appreciate some of the art inspired by their beliefs.
I did some minor retouching and added the frame. I'm trying to get used to my new camera, it's a little more complicated than my littlle Nikon hehe.
The statue is inside the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, NYC.

Whoa, very cool image. Like others have said, the lighting here is great - it really adds a "glow" to the picture, especially against the dark background. The frame is a little too big but I can see how that might add some grandiosity to the whole effect, so it works here. Nice job
